If you clicked on this post you have probably heard of Dime Beauty and you’ve been wondering if it’s worth all the hype surrounding it? I mean, we see influencer after influencer sharing and posting and telling us it’s great, but how do we actually know?
Well, I’m no influencer but I’m here to tell you I finally took the plunge to try it for myself! Yes, that’s right, skeptical me went for it and decided to invest in myself and my skin (I’m not getting any younger y’all) and I just decided to PRAY I didn’t waste my money. Keep reading to find out my honest thoughts and whether Dime was a flop or success for me.
Just as a disclaimer, I paid for these products and this is my honest review of Dime Beauty and its products.

The Shopping Experience
Dime has a super clean website that is user friendly and easy to navigate. I was easily able to click on various products to read the description, ingredients, uses, etc. I am not exactly a skincare guru so I had to carefully read what each product was before deciding whether or not to purchase it. I was grateful for such detailed ingredients and descriptions beside each item.
One thing I love that really sold me on Dime is that they have all of the ingredients listed next to each product with their EWG rating. This matters for a few reasons.
1) I have super sensitive skin and a history of skin rashes so I need to know what the heck I’m putting on my face. I literally have PTSD from trying new skincare so seriously y’all, this was a BIG purchase for me. (*Having flashbacks of a red hot burning face from a product I tried in my early 20s… yikes!)
2) I am trying really hard to clean up food, beauty products, cleaning solutions, etc and not be using crazy harsh chemicals that cause cancer. (FYI if you didn’t know, most common household products have scary ingredients that we really should all be doing our best to avoid! Check out EWG’s website to look up some of the products you’re using to check ratings and find cleaner alternatives. Even if you’re just choosing 1-2 cleaner products each time you shop, you will eventually have a house full of much safer ingredients.
But back to my review!
When I placed my order, Dime was having a sale so everything was discounted. PLUS!!! I had a discount code and I was able to stack that on top of the sale. Yessssss! That extra discount, along with the EWG ratings are honestly what sold me! I love a good deal and I felt if they went through the trouble to rate all ingredients in every item, they really are dedicated to cleaner beauty like they say.
Product Review Time
- Lash SerumThis has been super gentle on my lashes and not at all like some of the horror stories I’ve heard about from other brands. With aloe and peptides, as well as all ingredients marked safe by EWG, I highly recommend this product. I am already seeing a small difference in my lashes and it’s only been about 2 weeks since I started using it.
- PerfumeDid you know that the word “fragrance” can mean any combination of thousands of man-made chemicals? Yikes!!! I had no idea the perfumes I was using before contained all sorts of endocrine disruptors and potentially cancerous ingredients. Unfortunately, beauty products are not regulated enough and there is really no way of knowing which “chemicals” are harmless and which aren’t. That’s why I was super excited to try Dime’s clean perfume! Again, it’s rated by EWG and while not perfect, I feel much better using this perfume on occasion when I want to smell cute for date night. Lol I recommend their sampler kit so you can try a few different scents before committing to a bigger bottle.
- Gently Jelly CleanserI have really enjoyed using this gently jelly cleanser to remove my makeup while leaving my face feeling clean and smooth right before bed. Ingredients like coconut and vitamin E will help your face feel hydrated after each use. I definitely recommend this if you need a face cleanser/makeup remover all in one!
- Super Skin TonerThis is a super gentle toner that I use right before my night cream. It has witch hazel, aloe, and several other safely rated ingredients that help protect the skin against free radicals, even out skin tone, and brighten and tighten! You can grab this as part of The Works Bundle, which I highly recommend, or on it’s own.
- Night CreamI use this one after I wash my face at night and I love it! It is supposed to moisturize, which it definitely does, while also reducing fine lines and wrinkles! It hasn’t been quite long enough to see a visible difference but I do love the way my face feels after using this cream and I am excited to see how it will continue to help my skin repair itself each night as I sleep.
- Day CreamThis lightweight day cream keeps my skin hydrated without making it oily. It also promotes collagen and elastin production, helping skin to appear more plump and youthful. Big win because mama is in her 30s and trying to still look like she’s in her 20s! Lol
- TBT BundleYou might be wondering what in the world is TBT? It stands for “turn back time.” Again, both of the items in this mini bundle have low risk ratings from EWG, making them a much safer option for those of us who don’t want to look our age! I know I definitely have a few sun spots and places where I’d love to turn back time and cover up my skin better. However, since I can’t, I’m grateful to be able to use this duo that includes a clean retinol alternative (great for those who are sensitive to it!). Bakuchiol is a retinol alternative that’s shown to be just as effective but much easier on the skin. Yesssss!
Other Items on My Shopping List
- Sunscreen I am always looking for cleaner mineral sunscreen options! If you haven’t heard, most conventional sunscreens are NOT safe and can actually do more harm than good. I have been loving my ThinkSport sunscreen from Thrive Market (try it here for 40% off your entire order) but this one is definitely on my list to try on future orders!
- Lip ColorI am not a big lip gloss or lipstick girl, but I do love a little color here and there and I’ve heard great things about Dime’s lip line! As usual, their lip colors are also EWG rated and much safer than the typical ones you’d find at your local beauty counter. Definitely give these a try if you love fun lip colors!
So that’s it! Dime has been amazing so far and has not caused any rashes or breakouts for my sensitive skin. For once I do not have a traumatic story to tell after trying new skincare products!
I am honestly shocked at how smooth my face feels and I am loving the progress on my lashes from the lash boost. I can’t wait to see where I’m at in another few weeks and I definitely plan to update this post with before/during/after photos.
