Can you believe Christmas is upon us? I honestly feel like 2022 flew by. I probably say this every year but I truly believe the older you get, the faster time goes. I wish there was a way to make it slow down just a little bit, especially when I see my toddler looking more like a little boy every single day. I won’t exactly miss the tantrums but I’d really like to keep the baby face and those sweet little words that don’t quite have all the rights but I always know exactly what he means, ya know/ Any other mommas with me on this one?
Okay, so as this little boy of mine gets bigger, I’m always looking for more creative gift ideas that don’t involve just cluttering up the house with toys that will end up being donated in 6 months to another year. We are actually practicing our own version of minimalism, without the over the top, get rid of everything in the house and only keep 3 spoons kind of minimalism.
Maybe the right term is decluttering for now. Lol So with holiday purchasing well underway, I’m trying to be more intentional about what we bring into our home and what we buy our little guy. I am really wanting to fill his stocking with useful items that won’t end up being thrown away and bonus points if they provide a sensory experience or other creative entertainment.
Thus, this list of awesome stocking stuffers came out! I figured if I was struggling with ideas, other busy moms could benefit from a few ideas as well.
Now, I’m not going to lie, there are a few items on this list that are just toys, period. But kids do like toys and I see nothing wrong with purchasing a few items that your child will really enjoy. Plus, toys that are small enough for a stocking make great travel items when you are on a 10 hour drive to the beach and wondering how you are going to entertain your toddler for 9 more hours…
